“You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child.
If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me,
I will surely hear their cry.”
~ Exodus 22:22-23
Eyes Wide Open International desires to be a model for engaging and mobilizing volunteers and resources to support in-country partners in addressing the immediate needs of those in crisis and human suffering.
Our specific thrust will be towards those in the greatest need – widows and orphans.
How do we do that?
Eyes Wide Open International (EWOI) is a non-denominational ministry(organization) that believes that taking care of the poor, especially widows and orphans is something everyone should do but is a
God given directive to the church, the body of Christ. EWOI seeks to work to unite the body of Christ in serving and meeting the needs of the poor. Our strategy is to identify the people that
God has called to help the poor and they answered that call with a resounding yes but have little to no support from other people, churches or organizations. EWOI desires to join them in that
work and to undergird them with prayer, encouragement, training and various kinds of resources so that together we may build relationships that will better serve widows and orphans. In doing so,
EWOI does not desire to re-invent the wheel but partner with local and international organizations to better serve the needs of these individuals as they serve the needs of widows and orphans in their area.
Our Goal is to Rescue from Crisis, Relieve Suffering, Rebuild Lives and Restore Hope!
